Hydrating for the Super Bowl
The 54th Annual Super Bowl takes place this weekend between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Los Angeles Rams. Whether you’re a die-hard sports fan who has been counting down to this day since last February, or the kind of “here-for-the-snacks” supporter who recently had to ask their spouse which teams were in the big game (like, for instance, yours truly) we’ve got some fun and creative ideas to make your Super Bowl weekend one to remember.
More Than Just the Big Game
There is no shortage of games to be played to liven up the viewing experience and get everyone involved. In our house, our favorite is “Squares,” where you create a 10 X 10 with the numbers 0-9 randomly written along the top and left-hand rows. The top row is assigned to one team, and the left row assigned to the other. Party-goers can purchase a square, and if a quarter ends with the last digits of the score corresponding to your square, you win a portion of the pot, with four total payouts for each quarter and the biggest one coming at the end of the game. Depending on the amount of people you have at your gathering, you may just want to do a “buy-in” fee where everyone pays the same amount and gets to write their name on an equal number of squares until the board is filled; afterall, it’s no fun to have blank squares and rounds with no winners!
Here are a few other activities sure to entertain all your friends, from tic-tac-toe to trivia.
Snack Stand
Half the fun of a Super Bowl party is the food. There are the classics, of course, like chicken wings or chips and dip. Then of course, Pinterest and Instagram have stoked the flames on a whole new wave of themed munchies. Whether strawberries decorated like footballs is your jam or you’re trying to create a whole snack stadium, the sky’s the limit when it comes to creating a show-stopping arrangement.
Hey, Water Boy!
Super Bowl Weekend is typically a time of indulgence. We spend hours on the couch, imbibing snacks that often have low nutritional value, and maybe even partaking in a few alcoholic beverages. It’s a fun, time-honored American tradition – but it can have an impact on our overall well-being come Monday morning.
Start your pre-game early by scheduling an IV therapy before Sunday, and fuel up on fluids with our Basic IV Bag so you’re feeling refreshed and ready to go by kick-off. Or, maybe a half-time IV therapy break is more your speed. Sit back, enjoy the musical stylings of Eminem and company, and let our IV therapists load you up on all the hydrating fluids your body needs. Finally, a Hangover Bag following your get-together is always a good idea. We offer appointments from 9am-7pm, so you could close out the fourth quarter with an appointment or start off your Monday with one!
